Veldun vs. ClubExpress

ClubExpress bills each active member on a sliding scale, from 42 cents a member up to 200 members down to 30 cents from 501 to 1,000. At 250 members that comes to about $95 a month, against $99 on Veldun. At 300 members it is about $114, against $149. For most associations under 500, ClubExpress is the cheaper subscription.

At 500 members the order flips. ClubExpress comes to $170 a month and Veldun stays at $149. Each Veldun plan has a fixed monthly price, with every feature included, no setup fee and no contract. Your treasurer can read next year's cost today and set it in the budget with no surprises.

With ClubExpress, the website is a template your association configures. ClubExpress charges a one-time setup fee, with packages from $150 for do-it-yourself setup to $3,800 for a full build-out service. Add the package you would need to the first year, so you can compare full costs side by side.

Veldun builds your site for you. After launch, an admin asks for a change in plain words. Veldun drafts it on a copy of the site and checks it for your brand and for accessibility, so the live site stays untouched while you decide. Nothing goes live until you press deploy. Changes are included, so nobody has to learn a builder.

On Veldun, members pay dues and tickets by card into your association's own Stripe account. Stripe charges its standard rate, 2.9% plus 30 cents. Veldun takes nothing and adds no surcharge. Your treasurer can check that rate on Stripe's own site, so the cost of each payment is known before renewal season starts.

ClubExpress builds card payments into its website, with two options. On Basic, payments go to your own Stripe account at 2.99% plus 30 cents a card payment. On Premium, ClubExpress holds the funds and pays them out three times a month, at 3.99% plus 30 cents. Set the rate you would use beside Stripe's published rate, and your treasurer has the full yearly cost of each platform before anyone signs.
