Veldun vs. Raklet

Raklet has a free plan and a lower entry price than Veldun. It also takes a share of every payment you collect. Veldun charges one flat monthly price and takes nothing from dues, so the more your association collects, the more it keeps.

Veldun costs about $360 a year less.

We stay the cheaper choice as long as your organisation collects more than about $11,429 a year. Below that, Raklet is genuinely cheaper and we would rather you knew.

Raklet takes a share of every payment your organisation collects, from 4% on the free plan down to 1% on their top plan, plus 60 cents a transaction, and that sits on top of your payment processor's own fee. Veldun takes nothing. Payment-processor fees are left out of both columns, because every organisation pays a processor whichever platform it is on.

Raklet's prices here are month-to-month. Paying annually brings Essentials to $49 a month and Professional to $99, so knock about 17% off their subscription line if you would commit for a year.

Per-transaction fees assume an average payment of $50, so about 400 payments a year. A different average moves their number, not ours.

Raklet prices read from their own pricing page and last verified August 20, 2026. Veldun figures come straight from our price list.

Keep the dues your members pay you

Raklet takes a share of every payment, on top of the processor's fee: 4% on the free plan, 3% on Essentials, 2% on Professional and 1% on Premium, plus 60 cents a payment. Take an association on Essentials collecting $20,000 a year in about 400 payments.

That association pays Raklet about $840 a year from those payments, on top of the subscription. On Veldun the same figure is nothing. Members pay into your own Stripe account at Stripe's rate of 2.9% plus 30 cents, and Veldun's price stays flat however much you collect.

On Raklet Essentials, $20,000 of dues a year in 400 payments costs about $840 in fees.

On Veldun, the fee on those same payments is nothing.

Start each event and newsletter from a draft

An admin types one sentence about the next luncheon. Veldun fills in the title, description, date and time, location, capacity, member and non-member prices, and a reminder. The admin checks it, edits anything, and publishes. For the newsletter, Veldun assembles a draft from your own activity, and nothing goes out until the admin sends it.

Renewal reminders work differently. Veldun writes a personal reminder to each member whose membership is about to lapse and sends it on its own, 30, 14 and 7 days before, in your association's name. Nobody reviews these before they go. So renewals keep moving in the weeks the board is busy with other things.

Start on Raklet if you collect little

Raklet suits a new or small association that collects little money. It is free up to 100 contacts, and Essentials is $59 a month to 500 contacts, or $49 a month billed annually. When few payments come in, the share Raklet takes stays small.

As dues grow, that share grows with them, while Veldun's price stays the same. Veldun has no free plan. What you can get free is a private preview of your own site rebuilt on Veldun, with no card needed, so you can judge it before you decide.

Raklet suits a new or small association that collects little money, because its free plan and low entry price fit that stage. Choose Veldun if you collect a meaningful sum in dues each year and want it to reach you with no platform share taken, at a flat monthly price.
