Wild Apricot alternatives for small associations
On Wild Apricot, one contact over 500 moves an association to the 2,000 tier. In the US and Canada, using your own processor adds 20% to the subscription. Here are seven other platforms and the case for staying, each priced from the company's own page.

Frequently asked questions
- What is the best Wild Apricot alternative for a small association?
- It depends on your size and on who will build the website. Below 250 contacts, Wild Apricot costs less than Veldun, and ClubExpress and MembershipWorks cost less at most sizes under 500. Veldun suits an association that wants its website built for it and every dues payment in its own Stripe account. A 300-member association with 400 newsletter subscribers pays about $1,400 a year less on Veldun than on Wild Apricot.
- Can we move from Wild Apricot to Veldun?
- Yes. In Wild Apricot, go to Contacts, then Export, and save the list as a spreadsheet. Veldun imports it and maps it to your members. Help moving across is included on every plan. To move your domain, Veldun gives you the exact records to add. Once you sign up, your new site is live within five business days.
- Is there a free alternative to Wild Apricot?
- Yes, a few. Springly's Liberty tier is free and takes no transaction fee; Springly asks your payers for optional tips instead. MembershipWorks is free up to 50 accounts. Raklet is free up to 100 contacts but takes 4% of each payment plus 60 cents, on top of the processor's fee. Veldun has no free plan. You can still see your own site rebuilt on Veldun first: the private preview is free and needs no card.
- Are Wild Apricot and MemberClicks the same company?
- They share an owner. Wild Apricot came to Personify in 2017, and Personify also owned MemberClicks. On 6 January 2026, Momentive Software bought Personify, so Momentive now owns both. The two products are still sold separately. MemberClicks does not publish a price list, so an association asks for a quote.
