Wild Apricot prices by total contacts, newsletter subscribers included. It has no tier between 500 and 2,000, so contact 501 moves you to $265 a month. - Is Wild Apricot more expensive than Veldun?
- It depends on your contact count. Below 250 contacts, Wild Apricot's subscription is cheaper. Above 500 contacts, Wild Apricot moves you to $265 a month. A 300-member association with 400 newsletter subscribers pays $3,180 a year on Wild Apricot and $1,788 on Veldun. That leaves about $1,400 a year in the association's account.
- Why does Wild Apricot have no 1,000-contact tier?
- Wild Apricot does not offer one. Its tiers stop at 100, 250, 500, 2,000 and 5,000 contacts. So one contact over 500 moves you to the 2,000 tier at $265 a month. Veldun's Professional plan covers up to 1,000 billable contacts at $199 a month. Newsletter-only subscribers are free up to three times your members, so a growing list does not move you up a plan.
- How do Veldun's free newsletter subscribers work?
- Veldun counts each membership once, even a household membership shared by several people, and each non-member who came to an event in the last 12 months. Newsletter-only subscribers are free up to three times your member count. A 300-member association can have 900 newsletter-only subscribers at no extra cost and stay on Growth at $149 a month. On Wild Apricot, every subscriber counts as a contact.
- Does Wild Apricot offer annual discounts?
- Yes. Wild Apricot takes 10% off for paying a year ahead and 15% for two years. At the annual rate, the 2,000-contact tier is $2,862 a year. In the 300-member example, that is still about $1,070 more than Veldun. Veldun runs month to month, with no contract and no notice period to cancel.
- What is Wild Apricot's 20% fee?
- If your association is in the US or Canada and uses its own payment processor, such as Stripe, Wild Apricot adds 20% to its subscription price. It applies to the subscription only. On the 500-contact plan that is about $370 a year. Wild Apricot's own processor avoids it and charges 2.99% plus 30 cents a card payment and a $4.99 monthly account fee (US only). On Veldun, dues go to your own Stripe account at 2.9% plus 30 cents, with nothing added.
- What is included in Veldun's price?
- Every feature is on every plan: members, dues, events, email newsletters, your public website and help from AI. Help moving across is included. So are website changes after launch, with no monthly allowance to use up. Plans run month to month with no setup fee.
