Springly is the cheaper choice on subscription. Its Liberty tier is free and takes no transaction fee. Serenity, from $45 a month for up to 250 contacts, adds a website builder, and Professional is from $119 a month. For an association with no budget for software, that is a real advantage.

Springly also suits a board where someone wants to build the site with its builder. If that person is ready for the job, Serenity gives them a builder to work in. Where nobody wants that job, Veldun builds the site for you and makes the changes your admin asks for.

Springly's free tier is funded by optional tips. When members, donors and event registrants pay, Springly asks them for a tip. What Springly's paid tiers take from payments is not published, so ask Springly before you choose a plan.

On Veldun, members see only their dues or ticket price when they pay. They pay by card into your own Stripe account at Stripe's standard rate of 2.9% plus 30 cents, and Veldun takes nothing and adds no surcharge. So a member renewing at the start of the season sees one figure: their dues.

Veldun starts at $99 a month, against Springly's $45 for Serenity. The difference pays for a site built for you, on your own domain, and changed whenever an admin asks in plain words. Veldun checks each change for your brand and for accessibility, so the site looks professional without a volunteer designer.

It also buys help with the weekly work. Veldun turns one sentence into a full event for the admin to check, and drafts the newsletter from your own activity. Renewal reminders go out on their own, 30, 14 and 7 days before a membership lapses, with nobody reviewing them first. Every feature comes on every plan.
